Rapid advances in AI are reshaping how computer science is practiced, learned, and taught. The AI4SG Lab at NUS held the NUS-Google Workshop 1.0 in November 2025, where we gathered perspectives from faculty members worldwide. While discussions about the future of CS education often focus on curriculum design from an institutional or faculty perspective, student voices — as those experiencing these changes first-hand — are less frequently heard. Many CS students are navigating questions such as which skills remain essential, how deeply to specialize, and how one should learn effectively in an AI-rich environment. We want to hear from you, to chart a clear path forward for how CS curricula and education should change and evolve.
Supported by Google and NUS, this one-day workshop centers on understanding student perspectives, challenges, and opinions. Beyond faculty viewpoints, we aim to provide a structured forum for students to reflect on how AI is changing their learning experiences, to identify key challenges they see in current CS education methods, and to propose solutions for addressing these challenges.
We invite: (1) current undergraduate & postgraduate students, (2) postdocs, and (3) recent graduates in CS, software engineering, AI, education, and related fields. Participants from all regions worldwide are welcome to apply.
Format: Discussion-focused forum with limited seats (~60 participants), featuring a keynote speech, breakout discussions, and presentation of findings.
Fee: Participation is free!
